چکیده
New sharp Strichartz estimates for the Maxwell system in two dimensions with rough permittivity and non-trivial charges are proved. We use FBI transform to carry out analysis phase space. For this purpose, equations conjugated a of half-wave coefficients. system, similarly derived as previous work by Tataru on scalar wave improve local well-posedness theory quasilinear dimensions.

Two iterative substructuring methods for Maxwell ’ s equations with discontinuous coefficients in two dimensions
In this paper, we present some numerical results for a Balancing and a FETI method for the solution of a linear system arising from the edge element approximation of a vector field problem in two dimensions. The two methods are presented as projected preconditioned conjugate algorithms and give comparable performances in our tests. Our numerical results show that their condition number is indep...
متن کاملFeynman’s derivation of Maxwell equations and extra dimensions
It is shown that Feynman’s derivation of Maxwell equations admits a generalization to the case of extra spatial dimensions. The generalization is unique and is only possible in seven dimensional space.
متن کاملOn Quasilinear Elliptic Equations in Ir
In this note we give a result for the operator p-Laplacian complementing a theorem by Brézis and Kamin concerning a necessary and sufficient condition for the equation −∆u = h(x)u in IR , where 0 < q < 1, to have a bounded positive solution. While Brézis and Kamin use the method of sub and super solutions, we employ variational arguments for the existence of solutions.
متن کاملDilaton-Maxwell gravity with matter near two dimensions
Unlike Einstein gravity, dilaton-Maxwell gravity with matter is renormalizable in 2 + ǫ dimensions and has a smooth ǫ → 0 limit. By performing a renormalization-group study of this last theory we show that the gravitational coupling constant G has a non-trivial, ultraviolet stable fixed point (asymptotic freedom) and that the dilatonic coupling functions (including the dilatonic potential) exhi...
متن کاملTwo-Frequency Radiative Transfer. II: Maxwell Equations in Random Dielectrics
The paper addresses the space-frequency correlations of electromagnetic waves in general random, bi-anisotropic media whose constitutive tensors are complex Hermitian matrices. The two-frequency Wigner distribution (2f-WD) for polarized waves is introduced to describe the space-frequency correlations and the closed form Wigner-Moyal equation is derived from the Maxwell equations. Two-frequency ...
